Applications close Friday for the Elite Karting Academy

Australian karters who aspire to become the next Daniel Ricciardo, Mark Webber or Will Power can apply to get closer to that goal.

Karting Australia and the CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship are working together to assist in unearthing Australia’s next generation of racers.

The CAMS Karting Camp is the first step to become one of the selected drivers to form the all new CAMS Elite Karting Academy.

Across two camps, the CAMS Elite Karting Academy participants will experience intensive education.

Camp One – The Winning Formula (20–22 May 2016)

  • Physical and mental fitness
  • Team building
  • Planning and goal setting
  • What it takes to be an elite athlete

Camp Two – Formula 4 track day (18 August 2016)

  • A Formula 4 test day with driver coaching
  • Media and sponsorship training

At the conclusion of the 2015 season, Formula 4 drivers such as Luis Leeds, Thomas Randle, Jordan Lloyd, Harry Hayek and Zane Goddard have gone on to race in Europe and America with a full year of Australian Formula 4 to prepare them.
